Overview.
Between our world and the realm of the fae, lies the veil. This veil acts as a sort of mirror to our world: a reflection of Earth, with more fantastical elements seeping in from the fae realms. For as long as they can remember, strudels have lived in the veil, and have been cut off from the fae realm for thousands of years. Though there are rumors that a subspecies plans to change that. On certain days of the year, such as Samhain, the veil is thinner. During this time, humans may catch glimpses of a furry tail ducking beneath the countertops after a kitchen raid.
Animals are more keen to the veil than humans, and can interact with the fae inhabiting it. However, that's not always a good thing. While the majority of animals are friendly, some may need a little extra effort to tame. Others need avoided entirely.
