Thimblets are a subspecies of faerie, born from lost and forgotten objects (mainly fabric scraps, toys, clothing, etc.). While classified as fae alongside Strudels and Arborlings, these creatures are more comparable to ghosts. They are born from lingering energies left behind on lost objects: an abandoned childhood toy, a lost mitten, etc. Their personalities are often shaped by the emotions of the last known owner of the object.
Notable Features: Long, upturned snouts. Large ears.

Thimblets occupy the same world as Strudels, but unlike Strudels, they do not originate from the Faerie World. Without mankind, Thimblets could not be born. However, after they are brought into existence they rely very little on humans for survival, aside from occasionally partaking in offerings left by seamstresses for good luck.
Thimblets, like Arborlings, are "born" with their form already chosen. Thimblets will be born based on the energy and lost object they originate from. Their rarity is not decided based on what kind of fabric or lost object they originate from, but rather type of subspecies: household, kigus, hoarders, tatters, and ghosts. Thimblets will have different traits, similar to the structure of Strudel traits, based on the subspecies and rarity of Thimblet. Thimblets also do not age like Strudels and Arborlings, and will maintain a similar appearance from their lost object for their whole lives. They are the sentient remnants of memories and emotions, rather than being born and taking on voluntary offerings. They often appear suddenly in the Veil, lost and confused.

Thimblets are of human origin, therefore, their existence is mainly limited to the Veil. Thimblets do not occur naturally in the Faerie World, and although they do have the option to live there, the portal has been closed off for centuries. Because of their presence in the Veil and Human world, Thimblets have a soft spot in their hearts for seamstresses and crafters. This is because Thimblets specialize in fabrics, clothing, tailoring enchanting, etc! While Thimblets don't rely on offerings to live, they may be left small offerings of milk and honey in exchange for a little help around the shop. From putting finishing touches on garments, to shining shoes, etc.
Unlike the other subspecies, Thimblets prefer a rather solitary life, and while some may choose to live alongside Strudels, they tend to make their dwellings in secluded areas. A Thimblet is much more likely to occupy a household or craft shop alone, than live within a Strudel city. As space in the Veil is becoming more crowded, Thimblets have started to migrate into Strudel and Arborling communities. Thimblets are slo known to travel between worlds more frequently, sometimes setting up shops full of stolen human objects! Despite the migration to Strudel cities, Thimblets still do not personally care all too much about Strudel politics.
All the subspecies enjoy pets and companions. Each having their own favorite, Thimblets prefer pets and companions of the enchanted plush variety.
Thimblets can still die even though they do not age. Thimblets and moths tend to not get along very well.
